Prototype 1.7 RC3 →
wakecodesleep: I’m still a big fan of the Prototype JS framework (even though I’m looking to finally make the switch to jQuery when I have some time) so I’m happy to see the latest RC of the 1.7 version of the framework finally get released. Definitely check it out if you’re still using the Prototype JS framework.

Dev-Team Blog: Limera1n surprise →
devteam: After a few very dramatic days in the jailbreak community, geohot has come out of nowhere to release limera1n. It’s a bootrom-level jailbreak that works on the iPhone3GS, iPhone4, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G, the iPad, and (technically) the AppleTV 2G. DO NOT USE LIMERA1N IF YOU USE THE…

Google Is Testing Cars That Drive Themselves →
techspotlight: Google announced today that it has developed cars that drive themselves automatically in traffic, and that it has been testing them on the streets of California for months. It might seem like an unusual project for Google, but it could actually have big benefits. We’re not just talking about cars running Google Android. This is the stuff of science fiction. The only accident that...

The perfect IM messenger...
Lately I have been getting sick and tired of graphical IM, I like aMSN for MSN clients but wait I have 3 MSN accounts, that’s 3 wish’s processes and believe me, that’s too much !! I tried using Pidgin, but I didn’t like it compared to aMSN, If I want to use a graphical messenger I’d like it to be fully featured… I have decided to go to a much more appealing...

Command line, are you afraid ?
Most people I know, whom aren’t very used to linux yet, are afraid of the command line, they think it’s hard to learn and somehow useless but that is entirely false… The command line is very easy to learn, well at least the basics of it, but you should know that the shell is much more powerful than anything you have, or will, ever use… In this small article I will try to...

Choosing a Secure password.
It’s very important, when you are choosing an important password, to choose it well, always mix letters ( lower AND upper ), numbers and characters… A weak password can be guessed via dictionary attack, like `home` or `computer` etc… a strong password however is much harder to guess via dictionary attack, ex: ]RmXpEB=1& or rl*~V3nM”S I agree that random passwords are...

Install Archlinux
Introduction Arch Linux is a general purpose linux distribution that can be molded to do just about anything. It is fast, lightweight, flexible, and most of the parts under the hood are quite simple to understand and tweak, which can make it a good distro to “learn the ropes” on. We do not provide any configuration helper utilities (ie, you won’t find linuxconf in here) so you will quickly become...

Antipodean: PHP Object Oriented Programming... →
dhotson: I’ve recently been experimenting with some different object orientation ideas in PHP. It’s tentatively called “PHP Object Oriented Programming Reinvented”. Although it turns out the acronym is kind of unfortunate. I’m still working on that… ;-) The main idea is that classes aren’t really very… This is pretty exciting, look any familiar? Ruby? Hello!!! :)

Dev-Team Blog: redsn0wier →
devteam: We’ve released a beta version of redsn0w for the iPhone3G and iPod Touch 2G at FW 4.1 or 4.0. It uses the same pwnage2 DFU-mode exploit that we’ve been using since the 2.x days. It does not include the SHAtter exploit developed by pod2g. Nothing new is revealed to Apple with this jailbreak. IF…

Jail Servers
Hello, Well In this article I will be discussing jails, what they are, what are the benefits of having them and most importantly how to create/manage and use them. Introduction Jails are like they are called, Jail to processes running inside them, a process running inside a jail cannot have any access to the host it is running inside, which is a huge security improvement, let’s have some...
